Speak the truth.

Let your speech, thought and action be harmonized and unified.

Think of one thing, speak another thing and do something else.

That is the reason why they do not enjoy peace of mind.

Do your duty.

Let your mother, father, preceptor, guest be your God.

These were the lessons that were imparted by the Rishis of yore to the students who were about to leave the Gurukula,

when they had finished their study of the Prasthanatraya – the Bhagavad Gita, the ten Classical Upanishads and the Brahma Sutras.
