1. OM, 2. Atma or Brahmam, 3. Devotion to God and renunciation :

1. OM :

OM is Infinite beauty, power, Paripoorna(full), Self-contained, Vyapaka, Vibhu.

Japa (repetition) of OM with meditation on its significance will lead you to Immortality; to the Eternal Abode(the Parama-Padham )

That is the purpose of chanting OM.

Even if you repeat it mechanically it gives you power.

Therefore, chant OM and enjoy the benefits yourself.

2. Atma or Brahmam :

Atma or Brahmam is beyond the reach of the mind and the senses.

These are finite, frail instruments.

The eye cannot see the eye-lashes, though it can see other object.

It cannot see objects at a great distance from it.

The infinite cannot be reached by the finite eye.

Such is the case with all the other instrument of perception too.

We can however, infer the existence of the Supreme Being by certain empirical facts.

3. Devotion to God and renunciation :

Devotion to God and renunciation do not mean you must wear a dirty cloth.

Will have to live on neem leaves.

No, no, no. you must have your normal food and clothing; you must wear clean clothing.

But you should discipline the mind and practise mental non-attachment.

You should have a balanced mind. That is real education. Real education is that which enables you to move towards the Atma.
