When we journey through Rama story our aim should not be to enjoy the story . 

This is not what Valmiki Maharshi wanted . 

Instead the motive was to understand and observe the characters in the story and connect the same by learning it and applying it to our life and moving forward. 

Ramayanam is a pathway that teaches us this. 

The manner in which we use a GPS to follow directions while travelling by car similarly Ramayanam is a GPS in a story form to show us which direction our mind should turn or move in this journey of life. 

When we think of this.... we travel with our present mind since we are not trained or educated regarding this. 

Many of us are not clear regarding what mind we should possess. 

We require a psychological study in this matter. 

This was the reason for Gurukula Vidya Practice. 

Rama’s education begins with gurukulam teaching initially with Vashista Maharshi and later with Vishwamitra Maharshi. 

Vashista is the one who who gives a vision of life at a very early age to Sri Raman. 

Later on Vishwamitra too. 

Since we have not had such visionaries or teachers during our childhood we have not learnt how to live in this world. 

Our present mind is full of stubborn egos, selfishness, prejudice, laziness, shyness etc . 

This sort of negativity which when we live with we really are not enjoying our Life rather just pushing and moving forward. 

A life of escapism . 

Therefore Ramayanam is a life of every individual through Rama’s story. 

Let us use Ramayanam as our GPS and move forward in life .
