It is from them Sri Raman not only learnt the essence of Vedas but also how to responsibly undertake and execute any given task. The capabilities required in a person for this and their influence on society. 

Truly speaking this Is an important lesson for every politician who can learn true leadership qualities that lead to a better governance. Lack of leadership and coordination are some of the reasons for delays in solving many of our problems. 

The requirement for a leader should be a well balanced mind . A meditative mind is one that can clearly achieve reasons and solutions to any problem. The more relaxed and calm a person’s mind , the more deeper is its understanding when compared to any ordinary mind.

Madhav Gadgil’s research was not merely bookish knowledge but he could understand or study nature and was able to tell how Nature would react in the future. Only a meditative mind that is so deep can connect to this understanding. 

A leader who possesses this sort of a deep and meditative mind only can understand nature, nature of the mind and culture of the people etc. All their actions would depend on this . 

Secondly the geography of the land should be well studied by a leader. The land’s resources and non resources. 

Similarly the life of the people there, the facilities for commuting and saving them from calamities. They must be aware and prepared for all probabilities and possibilities at any time and not just be there to sign on papers. 

We have seen ....Understanding the situation and taking immediate actions is less due to more focus on politics rather than intelligence. A leader surely needs politics but it should be intelligence oriented politics. 

The difficulties and repercussions of choosing an unintelligent leader would affect the people.

This is not to blame any particular person but a general evaluation in helping making situations better for the future. For a hassle free and comfortable future we should be able to select leaders who are beyond just politics.

This is where in Ramayanam we see Vasishta and Vishwamitra teaching and developing Sri Raman.

They transform his mind into a positive one similar to their mind. If only there exists cooperation, coordination and leadership a task can be dealt with effectively and efficiently. 

Through the story we have seen how the impossible has been made possible with the proof of the stones laid and a bridge built in an ocean by Sri Raman. . 

We may brush it off as a myth or story but the lesson we learn is that impossible can be made possible. 

We have see many impossibilities become possibilities. For eg. going to the moon, wireless phones, drones and maybe we will find a solution for evacuating people easily and faster. We require to develop and grow along with technology. 

Government definitely has to take proper measures to apply their mind to make this happen. People are moving away from the Government due to such setbacks in their governance eg , lack of coordination , vision and management. We should be able to build up an effective system. 

Reason for my saying so is because I live in Chalakudy (Periyaram river) where if a flood happens there is no way of getting out of Chalakudy with water levels all around . People from all over Chalakudy, Athirapilly and around these areas are stuck as it is very difficult to evacuate them quickly. Vetilapara is a bridge that connects to the other end of the river but that bridge was badly damaged during the last floods. Now getting out from that bridge is become difficult and coming out of Chalakudy side too has become difficult. 

If only the government had planned in advance and taken measures in constructing a new bridge in advance foreseeing a future disaster ( should not happen) would help in rescuing people during such time . Government should surely think and take measures to solve problems in such cases. Once calamities happen they come forward rendering help by giving items, rebuilding houses for the destroyed homes which takes ages to get completed. This is not said negatively but to avoid the inefficiency in our leadership , execution and administration. Let this not be misunderstood as criticism but as a solution towards problems. 

Thinking in this manner let us work together, think together and move together. 

This is what is taught to Sri Raman. 

What is a good administration all about? Only a capable leader can have capable people or followers. 

“Yatha Raja Tatha Praja” Where there is an efficient administration, there will be good execution. Such a government only will give good inspiration and motivation to people . Leaders should be beyond politics and reaching out to people. 

We need to think deeper about this subject.
