Ramayanm began with the 4 lines.... Ma Nishada..... This we have seen earlier. Refrain from doing wrong or negative things, is what it means. What ever we do it will come back or rebounce. This is the law of Karma.
The movement of the Universe is a cycle.Science has seen its external circle like energy , matter , earth, planet , solar system all moving in a circle . Our Rishis have been able to see this in a more subtle and deeper manner.
The motion of our Thoughts. The manner in which the thoughts flow and it is our thoughts which is the reason or cause of our actions. So each Karma that we do , the beginning of that is a thought, so it is referred to as Karma Samskaram.
Thoughts too move in circles. The thoughts that flow from within us lead to actions and that which returns is what we call KarmaPhala. When you do good actions you get good results and when you do bad actions it’s result too is bad. This is the world in which man moves according to his actions and reactions .
Therefore at the start of Ramayanam we are reminded of Karma or whatever action we do, l that comes back to us. Here we are made to understand two things 1. Manishada .... even if there is an instruction not to do negative things, but the other hidden meaning is when we ask ourselves who am I? We understand that Ma..Anishad ... no hunter, but another interpretation is...... Lakshmi’s husband Vishnu.
The positive thinking mind is Lakshmi and the energy behind this mind is Consciousness ( Bhodham ) or Narayan. Mind can turn to the world and it can also turn to its consciousness or Narayanan. Each one’s mind is in consciousness.
Those realising this and turning inwards, to their consciousness ( Narayanan ) they are not affected by external changes and are always balanced and happy, whereas those who always look outward get affected by ups and downs in their life. However we shall get deeper into this subject in the days to come .
